Contemporary dance subverts the technique of ballet for more freedom of movement. There are many styles of contemporary, including African contemporary, which is very popular locally. Our classes draw on the IDF Lyrical and AIDT Modern syllabi as well as our teachers' years of experience in other popular styles. In class, students will be exposed to proper dance technique as well as floor work, flexibility training, and new weekly choreography. Please note that dancers must be enrolled in Ballet, Modern, Acro, or Tap at BASD and have at least 2 years dance experience to join the Senior class.
